Contamination Control Regional Sales Manager, Europe

TSI has a full line of environmental monitoring instrumentation for clean room monitoring and certification.  The Regional Sales Manger will be responsible for promoting and increasing the distributed sales revenues of TSI Contamination Control (CC) Products, in Europe. The job requires continuous management of our distributed sales channels, specifically, existing Channel Partners (CPs) will require review and development on an on-going basis and as needed changes in distribution channel.


New and existing CP’s require product and application training. This training will be coordinated and sometimes delivered by the Regional Sales Manager or by our Application Specialists. The Regional Sales Manager will report to the Sales Manager EMEA Controlled Environments. The job requires 70% travel to destinations across Europe, and occasionally to North America. Timing of this appointment is critical to the effective implementation of our Channel Partner Strategy.




  1. Review Channel Partners (CPs) strengths and fit to TSI business models and markets using new CP Strategy


  1. Provide ongoing, quantitative evaluations of CP added value to TSI Sales Operations


  1. Manage CPs for sales growth and increase in market penetration


  1. Evaluate need for new CPs using gap analysis and identify / assess candidate organizations


  1. Provide an effective link from CPs to other TSI functions: Applications Specialists, Service and Calibration, Product Management.


  1. Gain an understanding of customer, potential customer business and technical requirements and help conceptualize them into successful sales plans.


  1. Work with Application Specialists to identify CP support requirements in order to close gaps.


  1. Assist Marketing Communications and Business Managers to establish effective plans and budgets.


  1. When required contribute to the creation of all field materials including brochures, data sheets, and other marketing collateral.


  1. Work closely with product marketing to ensure the effective delivery of sales tools to the field organization.


  1. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.


  1. Complete other assignments and special projects as requested.




  1. Education:
  • Required
  • B.Sc. in technical discipline or equivalent technical degree.
  • Desired
  • M.Sc. in technical discipline desirable.
  • M.B.A


  1. Experience:
  • A minimum of 3 – 5 years of direct field marketing or sales experience.
  • 2 – 3 years Channel Partner Management experience.
  • Defining, planning, executing, and evaluating successful channel partner review and motivation.


  1. Core Competencies:
  • Local language and excellent English skills essential.
  • Transactional selling skills including the ability to identify end user key user requirements to validate CP feedback.
  • Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software for managing prospects and for generating leads.
  • An understanding of sales and lead management processes.
  • Strong commercial management and influencing skills.
  • Proven ability to excel in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute on multiple projects and excel in a results-oriented work environment.
  • Highly skilled in making presentations to audiences of different participants and size (potential channel partners, sales staff, technical staff and non-technical professionals).
  • Demonstrated high energy level and a passion for their work.
  • Excellent written skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS office applications.
