Director of Sales - Agriculture at TSI

The Director of Sales Agriculture is responsible for achieving the yearly sales global sales targets for the Agriculture division of TSI, DICKEY-john® branded products.  In this role, the Director of Sales Agriculture is responsible for all sales activities including major OEM account activities and sales through distribution. They must also develop both strategic and tactical plans that allow DICKEY-john to increase sales and develop new products that aligned with corporate growth goals. Along with leading and managing the sales team, it will need to contribute to new product development. This will include collaborating with marketing and engineering in order to capture voice of customer, market requirements, business plans, and coordinating lab, field, alpha and beta testing.  

 

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:

  • Lead and oversee the activities of the global sales force.

  • Coordinate sales forecasting, budgeting, planning, and process optimization.

  • Create and implement strategic sales plans that successfully achieve business objectives.

  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.

  • Own and reach or exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts.

  • Direct and support consistent implementation of the business’s initiatives in all sales strategies and initiatives.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with a focus on Agricultural OEM’s.

  • Lead, manage and coach sales professionals and sales support team in effort to ensure optimal performance and engagement of the sales force.

  • Collaborate with marketing and engineering on new product development projects.

  • Foster close and collaborative relationships with various departments in the business with a view of enhancing sales initiatives.

  • Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.

  • Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • The Director of Sales is responsible for managing and coaching the Agriculture sales team by conducting regular individual coaching meetings, team meetings and field sales calls.

  • Conducts performance reviews, provides feedback and makes recommendations regarding compensation, promotion, training, discipline and termination of individuals within the sales network.

 

 

What Do You Need?

Required

  • B.S. in technical engineering discipline or business or agriculture

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in working in a senior sales position

  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a sales team or individuals

  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets

  • In-depth understanding of sales operations and business practices for sales systems and processes

 

Desired

  • M.B.A.

  • Agriculture experience

  • OEM Account Management experience

  • Channel management experience

  • Global sales management experience

  • CRM (i.e., Salesforce) Sales methodology training, coaching experience

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $165,000 - $180,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
