JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for all marketing communication efforts to the value stream of T&M and Flow business in China that aligned with TSI global Go-To Market strategies and initiatives at the regional level to develop and complete regional marketing plan as well as collaboration with channel partners to support sales.
Under minimal direction or supervision, the Marketing Communication Specialist II will plan, write content, create, and implement marketing communications projects and activities related to the sales and promotion of company products in a consistent, efficient and cost-effective manner. Will take an active role in the budgeting, planning, scheduling, and executing of marketing campaigns.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works in conjunction with product marketing and sales to plan, develop, coordinate, and monitor marketing campaigns for assigned value streams.
- Partners with marketing management in securing input on sales/marketing strategies, programs, products and plans, and in providing ongoing leadership and support to ensure successful tactical implementation of business plans.
- Works with product marketing to develop positioning and write copy for marketing materials, including emails, newsletters, data sheets, brochures, application notes, etc.
- Ensure effectiveness of communications by participating in the creation of messaging, setting objectives and tactical plans, regularly measuring results and developing new ways to broaden the reach of messaging strategies.
- Interfaces with product marketing to smoothly transition products from development phase to launch phase. Partners with the Product Manager or Product Marketing Specialist in the development and execution of launch plans for new products.
- Remains informed about competitor product lines, pricing and positioning of market share and communicates trends.
- Collaborates with Graphic Designer on literature design layout to meet TSI graphic standards.
- Ensures consistency of messages and brand through all communications globally.
- Works with Marketing Managers to determine spending budget by product line for advertising, trade shows, collateral materials, etc. Develop and maintain the marketing budgets throughout the year.
- Writes press releases as part of a public relations campaign to gain consistent recognition and understanding in the market.
- Plans and develop booth focus, messaging, and supporting materials as needed to produce, maintain, coordinate and support trade show exhibits.
- Manages Web content to present TSI products and services in optimal manner for online traffic, per assigned value streams.
- Manages and tracks lead process for assigned value streams.
- Meets with Sales Representatives from Publications and other vendors to maintain strong relationships and to develop best pricing.
- Follows all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Performs other tasks and special projects as requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, or related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
2. Experience
- Required: Minimum 5 years experience in corporate marketing communications marketing technical products.
- Desired: Experience working with complex, high tech products.
3. Knowledge of:
- Advanced marketing communications principals and best practices. Including a variety of communication disciplines such as campaign management, media planning, public relations, internet marketing and measurement and benchmarking
- Word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of ERP system (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar).
