UK - Service Technician III

JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision of the Senior service supervisor and based in the UK. Will be working in the UK service lab in High Wycombe. The job will be mainly concerned with the servicing, repair and calibration of complex, high-end products requiring advanced product knowledge and independent action. This position contributes to the development of concepts and techniques used on the service floor and requires a high degree of initiative. This position will be responsible for servicing customer returns, TSI sales inventory and internal reference standards.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess the customers instruments on arrival into the service lab.
- Keep records, both is SAP and other systems, of all operations carried out.
- Carry out service, repairs and calibrations to customers instruments following TSI in house work procedures.
- Communicate well with other members of the service team, to help provide efficient service to our customers.
- Provide higher level technical assistance to internal and external customers as needed.
- Assist the Technical support group with our customers’ needs for technical support.
- Ensures all calibration processes are working within specification and troubleshoots any issues.
- Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

2 year Electronic technical certificate
- Desired
2-3 year Electronic Technology degree
- Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience trouble shooting and repairing mechanical and electrical devices to the component level.
- Experience in testing, diagnostics, trouble shooting and repair of PCA circuit boards and complex instrumentation.
- Core Competencies:
- Understanding of TSI products and instruments on a larger scale and at a high level.
- Ability to act independently and apply judgment.
- Experience in the use of general electronic test equipment
- Demonstrated desire to continually improve our products and services.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external customers.
- Advanced use of electronic test equipment ie… Oscilloscope, VOM and other test equipment.
- Knowledge of electronic components and their usage in electronic circuits.
- Advanced trouble shooting skills with the ability to repair complex circuits.
- Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office products and SAP functions.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
- Advanced soldering skills.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
- Above average analytical, decision making, problem solving and research skills.
- Fluent English language, both spoken and written.
