Warehouse Administrator

JOB SUMMARY

Under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for receiving and issuing materials, counting and visually checking incoming material, stowing and picking material within the stockroom, processing related paperwork. Is capable of rotating to any area of receiving, or stock room as needed.  It is expected that employees at this level demonstrate good problem solving skills and are proactive.  This position will be responsible for supporting one or more production work groups (cells) in a lean manufacturing environment.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Receive, locate, and change location of parts.

 

  1. Work together with assigned group to complete orders by the expected deadlines.

 

  1. Communicate with other TSI departments regarding shipment deadlines and status of customer orders.

 

  1. Supply assigned work cell(s) with parts needed to support the production build.

 

  1. Process the appropriate transactions into SAP by entering data into the computer terminal.

 

  1. Move to where the work is needed in Receiving, or stockroom based on workload and other business needs.

 

  1. Assist supervisor and lead in the introduction of new/revised process in order to meet department objectives and goals.

 

  1. Cycle count and process list.

 

  1. Pull jobs and process orders.

 

  1. Process sub-contract orders.

 

  1. Process stock returns.

 

  1. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.

 

  1. Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Education
  • Required
  • Good standard of Education – CSE’S in core subjects – English and Math

 

  1. Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of distribution, inventory, or stock room experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a lean manufacturing environment preferred.
  • 1 year SAP/ERP experience.

 

  1. Core Competencies:
  • Ability to read shipping documents.

  • Able to work independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to think critically to meet and exceed internal customer expectations.
  • Knowledge of Federal Express, DHL, and UPS computer programs.
  • General packaging knowledge.
  • Proven ability to work as a team.
  • Strong computer skills using Word and Excel.  SAP/ERP preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across department and function lines.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Above average math, reading, writing and reasoning skills
  • Willing and able to work overtime when there is a business need.
  • Ability to prioritize a changing workload.
  • Ability to multi task in a fast pace environment.
