Director of Sales - MSP Korea

JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the President of MSP, the Korea Director of Sales will be a key member of the MSP Management team.
The primary responsibility will be defining, developing and leading the MSP Korea sales organization. Develops sales strategies, plans and leads the execution of sales initiatives to meet sales goals and objectives. The position is also responsible for establishing and cultivating relationships with the Senior Management of key accounts, including both OEM CVD tool makers and semiconductor FABS. Leads planning and execution of MSP’s Korea market development strategy, resource and infrastructure build-out, and resulting in the growth of MSP’s Korea business. The Director is responsible for defining and implementing sales strategies, tactics, and tools in alignment with MSP’s global sales management to achieve Korean sales growth and customer satisfaction goals that are consistent with MSP’s business objectives.
In addition to sales management, this position oversees MSP’s service function supporting leading Korean tool makers and FABs. The position is also responsible for business development, employee development, marketing and administrative functions of our Korea business including facilities.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the MSP Korea business strategy including sales territory planning, customer segmentation, go to market recommendations, business development and service growth. Develop tactical strategy implementation recommendations with supporting financial justification (business case development).
- Directly assist high value customer accounts to facilitate stable ongoing business partnerships including establishing upper-level management relationships with key OEM tool makers and semiconductor FABS supporting sales efforts.
- Align with outside of Korea MSP sales leadership ensuring consistency of processes and tools to identify and acquire new OEM CVD/ALD tool component business as well as penetrating FABS with consumable products.
- Work closely with all stakeholders including USA based Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Business Development, and Operations to identify and assess new opportunities for existing products as well as opportunities for new product development. This includes identifying, assessing, a resolving capability gaps and solution extensions through acquisition.
- Build a world-class organization through recruiting, developing and managing a team through performance assessment, coaching, and career development plans for both direct reports and tier two manager. Directly address performance shortfalls through assessment of non-performance, action plan for resolution, clarification of goals and consequences for continued non-performance.
- Provide leadership for the MSP Korea organization that aligns with MSP’s corporate goals and mission and inspire exceptional performance.
- Budget responsibility for MSP Korea functions including sales, G&A, service, and infrastructure CAPEX.
- Make decisions on administrative and operational matters ensuring operations’ effective achievement of objectives.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner
- Ensure alignment of MSP Korea policies and procedures with TSI Corporate functions that support MSP Korea such as Finance, Human Resources, and Legal.
- Align with TSI sales and service for efficient use of Korea facility to support their objectives. Assist with TSI sales and HR initiatives on an as needed basis.
- Completes other assignments and special projects as requested
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage sales, application support, service and administrative functions in Korea. 4 Direct Reports including the service manager who has 4 reports for a total staff of 8.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Education
Required
Bachelor’s degree. Technical degree preferred.
Desired
Master in Business Administration
2. Experience
- Minimum 15 years of progressive sales experience and at least 8 years of experience in managing sales team
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience selling tools and/or services to the Semiconductor Industry including tool manufacturers and FABs.
- In depth industrial knowledge of Semiconductor tool sales and support.
Desired
- Demonstrated success in developing a high-performance organization
- Business plan development supporting investments in resources, infrastructure, and new product development
- Effective use of CRM to optimize sales performance, Salesforce experience a plus.
- Effective use of Business Intelligence Platform (i.e. ERP (SAP a plus)) to evaluate financial performance.

4. Travel:
- Domestic travel required to support sales and service team
- Periodic (1 to 2 times per year) international travel to USA headquarters for planning meetings
