KR-Regional Sales Manager II

The Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting and increasing the distributed sales revenues of Test and Measurement (T&M) products in South Korea. The role is responsible for maintaining existing distribution accounts and developing new distribution accounts within South Korea if necessary and act as a primary contact in relation to TSI’s Test and Measurement products. 

The Sales Manager sells to direct customers and through channel partners. To be successful in this role, the Sales Manager should have previous direct sales experience as well as driving / managing channel partners to exceed targets. Ultimately, the Sales Manager will ensure his/her area of responsibility meets and exceeds the expectations of our business objectives and contributes to our company’s success in the long run.



1.    Promote TSI business for the assigned products and territory to realize annual operating bookings plan and revenue

2.    Direct the account management activities for the territory to drive account expansion and penetration; develop long term relationships and ensure customer satisfaction

3.    Works closely with all stakeholders including Marketing and Applications to identify and assess new opportunities for existing products as well as opportunities for new product development

4.    Plan, organize and accurately forecast territory bookings on a monthly basis

5.    Provide ongoing, quantitative evaluations of channel partners to Senior Regional Sales Manager and Regional Managing Director

6.    Drive and manage channel partners for sales growth and increase in market penetration

7.    Evaluate need for new channel partners using gap analysis and identify / assess potential candidate organizations

8.    Gain understanding of market trends, application needs and customer specific requirements to help new product development, application development and new business development

9.    When required, contribute to the creation of all field materials including brochures, data sheets, and other marketing collateral.

10.    Work closely with product marketing to ensure effective delivery of sales tools to the field organization

11.    Work directly with customer support function to ensure that order entry, customer support processes are efficient/ supportive of assigned industry customers and sales team needs

12.    Completes other assignments and special projects as requested

1. Education:

Required: Degree in Engineering or Science discipline 

2. Experience:

•    4 - 5 years channel partner management experience
•    Minimum 8 - 10 years selling to different types of end users and different markets. Prior experience in selling to government organizations, hospitals, higher learning institutes and research bodies will be highly advantageous
•    Prior experience in Occupational Health and Safety; Environmental Monitoring and / or HVAC industries will be highly preferred    

•    Prior experience in instrumentation and related applications
•    Previous experience working with customers in South East Asia will be an added advantage

3.    Core Competencies:
•    Fluent in Korean and English. Ability to speak third language would be advantageous.
•    Be technically proficient with T&M products design, application, advantages and performance Remain current with product advances and technical roadmap
•    Highly skilled in making presentations to audiences of different participants and size (potential channel partners, sales staff, technical staff and non-technical professionals)
•    Commercial skills including strategic account management, business development, pricing, negotiation etc.
•    Self-starter and highly motivated
•    Evidence of successful sales track record with direct customers and via channel partners
•    Solid interpersonal skills, mature and good listener 
•    Working knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) software and preferably experience with SAP
•    Collaborative mindset to work in a cross-functional team environment
•    Demonstrated ability to execute on multiple projects and excel in a results-oriented work environment
•    Excellent written skills
•    Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
