Applications Engineer II at MSP

MSP employees are part of something special with a purpose. MSP, A division of TSI, is a fast-moving and agile organization experiencing tremendous growth from our field-proven proprietary technology designed to vaporize liquid precursors in challenging Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) processes. We are looking for a person who wants to join a dynamic and motivated team, serving the fast-paced growing semiconductor market. 

 

The Applications Engineer II supports customers and functions as a liaison between sales, marketing, and engineering.  This position supports the launch of new products through the development of sales support tools as well as assisting the sales team through training, and technical support.    The Application Engineer is a key provider of support with in-depth product and application knowledge required to back up local representatives. 

 

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with MSP, you will be responsible for:

  • Interfaces directly with customers, channel partners, salespeople and sales managers to help facilitate sales, address technical questions and provide application assistance. 
  • Provides information to communicate with customers and channel partners through verbal and written communication.
  • Develops content for marketing materials including literature, advertisements, sales tools, application notes, technical bulletins, CD-ROM’s, Website and other programs as appropriate
  • Participates in assigned product launches and go-to-market initiatives, including such as Beta Testing, developing marketing materials, creating messaging and creating part numbers for new products
  • Develops training programs and conducts training.
  • Represents TSI solutions through participation and making presentations in technical conference, standards committees, trade shows, publications, seminars, and symposiums.
  • Performs in-house application testing as needed to support sales, marketing and engineering activities.
  • Assists with evaluation of new application opportunities by understanding the technical requirements, developing test protocols, analyzing data, and presenting results to both internal and external customers.
  • Collects, collates and interprets large data sets into written reports and/or presentation formats for development of customer facing reports supporting the sales efforts on capturing new opportunities.
  • Ensures customer/applications requirements for new opportunities are clearly understood and communicated to the organization.
  • Understand competitive and alternative solutions and be able to develop materials demonstrating the benefit of MSP solution set.
  • Ensure Voice of Customer is collected at every customer/market touch point and fed back to the organization.
  • Keeps current with standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in the field.
  • Supports product management with new product development activities, such as collecting voice of customer, defining customer requirements and analyzing competition.
  • Participates in assigned new product development projects, including activities such as customer use case development, Alpha Testing, representing customer requirements and preparation for launch.

 

What Do You Need?
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science or related is required.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering/Science or related is desired.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience providing product applications support in the assigned value stream and/or related industry.

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $90,000 - $105,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
