Dev Ops Software Engineer Intern

TSI is looking for a DevOps Engineer intern to join our team! At TSI, you will work on real projects and have the opportunity to work alongside engineers, scientists, and other industry professionals. As a DevOps Engineer intern, you will work have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology to enable TSI to deliver applications and services more efficiently and faster. The DevOps Engineer intern will have the opportunity to contribute and build out TSI’s Continuous Integration and Delivery practices. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and toolsets.

  • Develop, test, and maintain applications and scripts to help with any CI/CD automation processes in our CI/CD pipelines (excluding test automation).

  • Maintain and build container images and deploy them to the cloud.

  • Write Terraform configurations to automate the deploy process to the cloud.

  • Help our developers troubleshoot pipeline issues and escalate issues as necessary.

  • Application development with the DevOps dashboard.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Working towards a Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent major.

  • Understanding of  Data Structures

  • Experience of object-oriented programming

  • Experience with the Linux OS and shell commands

  • Demonstrates an eagerness and willingness to learn

  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn from failures

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience and knowledge of DevOps

  • Experience using source control

  • Experience writing Bash scripts or any other scripting language

  • Experience with one of the following programming languages: Groovy, TypeScript, Go

  • Experience with Docker and an understanding of containers

  • Experience with a relational databases

  • Experience Vue.js

  • Experience and knowledge of common build tools and package managers like Gradle, Maven, npm, and Yarn.
