JOB SUMMARY

Under general supervision, provides support to Operations by preparing new documentation, maintaining and updating existing documentation and releasing documentation for use in a controlled manner.  This position is responsible for generating clear and concise textual and visual documentation, working with manufacturing and engineering to verify and implement new or updated procedures, and executing tasks via engineering change orders.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Prepares and revises a variety of documents used in production and service (assembly procedures, work instructions, test procedures, job aids, etc.).
  • Interfaces with SAP Engineering Change Orders (ECO) and Document Management System (DMS).
  • Works with a wide variety of individuals and must communicate well both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintains quality and standards of existing and new documents.
  • Manages daily work to complete assigned tasks on schedule.
  • Supports the company’s ISO requirements with regard to processes and procedures.
  • Assists in process improvements in the assigned areas.
  • Must work well with others.
  • Follows all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  • Completes other assignments and special projects as requested.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

 Associates degree or 2 years of relevant work experience in the field is required.

 

Experience

  • Microsoft Office applications, Visual Factory, and Microsoft Visio
  • Experience with engineering change orders in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience supporting manufacturing of complex products
  • Experience with ERP systems

 

Knowledge

  • Prepare clear and concise documentation for use in operations
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to act independently and apply judgment
  • Demonstrated quick adaptability to new designs and concepts
  • Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with Bills of Material in ERP software packages
  • Solid mechanical aptitude
