E&C Inside Sales Representative
The Energy & Comfort Inside Sales Representative is responsible for consultative selling to direct customers who utilize Energy & Comfort products in their daily operations. This role builds and manages direct customer relationships to drive revenue growth and achieve successful sales outcomes. This role collaborates cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and product teams to enable customer success and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Direct customer segments include professional test and balance contractors, mechanical contractors, mechanical engineers, residential HVAC contractors, building commissioning and energy professionals, industrial end users, scientific researchers, hospitals, universities, and other related markets.
The position requires the ability to develop working knowledge of HVAC systems and instrumentation and related customer applications.
What Do You Need?
To grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:
- Utilize a consultative sales approach to support Energy & Comfort customers by identifying needs, recommending solutions, preparing quotations, and closing orders.
- Identify and develop new direct business opportunities through proactive prospecting, including outbound calls, email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and other methods.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inbound sales inquiries.
- Communicate the value of Energy & Comfort products by understanding customer challenges, aligning TSI solutions to specific needs, and demonstrating complete solution offerings.
- Engage with recent customers to gather Voice of Customer (VOC) feedback and ensure successful product adoption and satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and timely activity tracking and data entry within CRM in accordance with TSI sales processes.
- Provide Sales and Marketing leadership with insights on customer preferences, market trends, and competitive activity through consistent CRM documentation.
- Achieve individual sales performance goals and revenue targets.
- Support onboarding and knowledge sharing with new team members as needed.
Travel
This position requires up to 10% travel within North America.
What Do You Need?
Required
- Associate’s or Technical Degree with 5+ years of sales, customer support or related experience.
- Experience conducting high-volume outbound calls.
- Experience using a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
- Demonstrated experience closing sales and generating revenue.
Desired
- Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of sales, customer support or related experience.
- Experience working with technical products.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM software.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Training in consultative selling, with an emphasis on identifying and understanding customer needs.
- Strong phone presence and professional communication style.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $63,000- $73,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
