Manufacturing Engineer I at TSI
Under close supervision, the Manufacturing Engineer I will work with design engineering on development projects and the transfer of new products to the manufacturing floor. They will identify, analyze, create, and implement effective manufacturing and business processes and procedures.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:
- Serve as a member of a new product development team. Included in this area are structuring bills of materials, routings, material masters, and production documentation.
- Evaluate manufacturability and serviceability of engineering designs to ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, quality standards, and customer needs.
- Interface with ERP System (SAP) to prepare new and revise existing manufacturing documents, drawings, and Bills of Materials used to manufacture and test instruments.
- Write Engineering Change Orders to process changes to manufacturing documents, drawings, and Bills of Materials.
- Evaluate, develop and test potential solutions for in-process manufacturing problems.
- Participate on cross-functional project teams that require coordinating with staff from engineering, quality, production control, and supply chain.
- Investigate and resolve vendor, supplier, and customer problems.
- Interface with audit team and follow up to responses that relate to the production floor.
- Respond to corrective actions and feedbacks that relate to the production floor to meet customer needs.
- Lead entry level new product development projects including coordination between engineering and manufacturing team members.
- Become familiar with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement methods.
What Do You Need?
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, industrial) or related discipline.
- 0 to 3 years manufacturing engineering experience or related experience is required.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principals, 5S, Demand Flow, Six Sigma or related
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems, manufacturing engineering concepts and procedures
- Knowledge of process development and improvement in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of design, testing and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of principles of statistical process control or other quality system tools
- Knowledge of new product development stage gate processes
Desired
- Knowledge of software/database design and maintenance
- Knowledge of inventory management principles

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $80,000 - $86,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
