Manufacturing Engineer III at MSP
The Manufacturing Engineer III is responsible for the development and on-going improvement of manufacturing processes. Typical responsibilities include plant/work cell layout, production methods and standards, costs and quality controls, time and motion methods, general production support, and safety engineering. This position can interface with many functions across the organization, including Design Engineering, Sales and Marketing, Production Control, Service, and the Manufacturing Floor. Assignments are broad in nature, requiring very strong technical application, creativity, and ingenuity.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with MSP, you will be responsible for:
• Solve day to day manufacturing problems, implement Engineering Change Orders (ECO), and work proactively to find and eliminate waste and increase productivity
• Investigate and resolve supplier quality problems and customer complaints
• Respond to corrective actions and feedback that relates to the production floor to solve customer needs
• Independently develop methodologies for analyzing complex data; Mentor other engineers/supervisors in data analysis
• Coach and develop members of the operations staff - may include mentoring other engineers and supervisors during problem solving efforts and training other manufacturing engineers and new continuation engineers on assigned product lines
• Lead and participate on cross-functional teams that require coordinating with staff from Engineering, Quality, Operations, Marketing, and Sales
• May lead large manufacturing projects
• Introduce and maintain best practices on the manufacturing floor, including Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Point of Use inventory
• Assist in the development of policies and standards with respect to production
• Demonstrates technical understanding of assigned products and associated calibration systems by solving product problems that affect flow or quality in manufacturing
• Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor or safety committee member
• Complete other assignments, as requested
What Do You Need?
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related discipline) is required
• Minimum of 6 years manufacturing engineering experience is required
Desired
Primary Task Needs for Manufacturing Engineer:
• Experience in driving cost optimization projects through data analysis for discrete build products
• Experience in process development and mapping to identify inefficiencies, implement improvements resulting in reduced queue and touch time and product cost
• ERP experience, preferably SAP, in setting up BOM’s, routing files, material masters, prepare new and revise existing manufacturing documents, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM) used to manufacture and test instruments
• Experience in setting up and supporting ISO processes and work instructions for product build, checkout, and specification verification
• Experience working across departments: manufacturing, sales, engineering and product management to optimize the entire quote to cash process
• Demonstrated ability to define and drive assigned tasks and programs to completion, followed by monitoring, assessing impact, and modifying approach to meet original objectives.

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $105,000-$120,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
