Product Manager at TSI
The Product Manager position is responsible for managing go-to-market execution and new product development for TSI products in the Occupational and Environmental Health & Safety measurement, monitoring and analysis market, including hardware, software and services. This role collaborates with other Product Managers and the Marketing Communications team to plan annual key initiative execution plans, product launches, campaigns, targeting, messaging, training, and promotions.
This individual contributor will work with the Business Director to provide cross-functional leadership to drive the product line vision and roadmap. In this role, it is critical to work with other product managers to determine how to best leverage solutions from other product lines, platform capabilities, and new product development (NPD) projects to meet the Health & Safety customer needs.
The position is responsible for identifying opportunities in the Occupational Health and Environmental monitoring market, conducting Voice of Customer (VOC), developing value propositions, and defining customer requirements. This role leads NPD efforts and is responsible for NPD metrics, collaborating with Engineering and other functions to drive customer value delivery and speed-to-market.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will:
- Drive actions to meet/exceed annual plan targets. Collaborate with a team of Product Managers, Marketing Communications, and Product Specialists to drive go-to-market actions and engagement with Sales and Channel Partners.
- Compile, analyze and feed key insights regarding Voice of Customer, market drivers, technology developments, intellectual property landscape, regulatory drivers, and competitor posturing of assigned product line segments to leadership. Recommend project priorities based on findings.
- Define, implement, and maintain the overall product marketing strategy for assigned product lines (product, price, promotion, and channel) with guidance from the Business Director. Provide input into organizational product roadmap creation.
- Act as a customer-persona expert in the Product Management team for specific industry verticals, given the priorities of the business and active key initiatives. Fill in gaps in team knowledge by executing secondary research, VOC specific to a market vertical, participating in industry conferences or working groups, and conducting observational research on customer workflows.
- In collaboration with the Business Director, develop business cases for identified opportunities including revenue potential, market risks and uncertainties, and collaborate with Engineering and Sales to develop ROI estimates for recommended product/service proposals.
- Participate in cross-functional innovation teams to analyze markets and develop new product and service strategies. Encourage free thinking and collaboration amongst the team, but make sure that they remain focused on the business objective provided.
- Work closely with Product Development teams, providing customer needs (critical customer requirements) input. Along with Program Manager and Systems Engineer, provide leadership to the Product Development team and collaborate on cost/benefit analysis and solution feature set.
- Lead development of product launch plans and pricing models. Product launch plans include value propositions, messaging development, training needs, and sales collateral tools.
- Collaborate with Marketing Communication and Product Marketing Specialist team members on the development of multi-media marketing programs to support lead generation and advance prospects to sales. Contribute to training of Sales, including direct sales and channel partners.
- Manage financial performance and pricing reviews for assigned products, including conducting benchmarking activities. Recommend price levels and implement updated pricing.
- Provide demand forecasts and market intelligence to Operations to optimize balance between customer service levels, working capital, and capacity utilization.
What Do You Need?
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering/Science, or related field
- 2+ years Product Management experience
Desired
- MBA
- B2B experience
- Experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Monitoring
- International Business, Technical Instrumentation and/or Operational (Manufacturing, Technical Support, Engineering) experience
*Must be willing to travel, as needed, to support activities such as VOC efforts, training, new product launches, conferences, and visiting customers (10-25%).

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $95,000 - $110,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
