Technical: We are seeking a Product Owner to support our industry leading-edge software development teams; building differentiated functionality and releasing in a timely manner.  The Product Owner is responsible for managing the story backlog and optimizing the value of the development team’s work.

 

Stakeholder Management: You will partner closely with our Product Managers and UI/UX Designers to translate product vision and customer outcomes into detailed product requirements. The Product Owner will participate in product demonstrations to both end customers and internal stakeholders.  The team will adapt quickly to customer feedback, insuring that we develop high-value solutions. 

 

Technology: TSI produces market-leading test instruments and software solutions for a wide array of applications.  Our software products run directly on our instruments, as well as companion mobile devices, desktop PCs, and SaaS-based services.  This is an excellent career opportunity for a Product Owner to help drive an industry leader’s digital transformation.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Gather input from product managers and other internal stakeholders to create, refine, and prioritize a product backlog.  Write persona-driven user stories with defined acceptance criteria.
  • Work closely with the development team to groom stories and establish sprint plans.
  • Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to demonstrate product concepts.  Evaluate customer feedback to drive enhancements.
  • Work closely with product managers and scrum masters to plan release schedules.
  • Partner with UI/UX designers to develop intuitive user interfaces that help our customers gain new insights into their data.
  • Help engineering management develop an architectural roadmap across our product lines, helping maximize development efficiency.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management or Business Analyst role

 

DESIRED

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile Product Owner role 
  • Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification 

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Material design based UI/UX design principles.
  • Agile scrum framework.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Trello, or equivalent software project management tool
  • Puts the customer experience first, challenges the status quo, is intellectually curious, and has a solution-oriented attitude.
  • Able to manage competing priorities from multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
  • Persona-driven Agile story development, including documentation of acceptance criteria.
