Quality Engineer II at TSI
The Quality Engineer II performs data analysis, identifies trends, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across TSI operations. This role is responsible for identifying and eliminating manufacturing defects, non-conformities, and other issues that impact quality, reliability, and performance of TSI products and services. The position reviews customer requests, complaints, and quality-related feedback to determine root causes, assess potential impacts, and implement corrective and preventive actions that improve customer satisfaction and product performance. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the Quality Engineer II applies quality assurance and metrology tools to new product development, process improvement efforts, and the resolution of quality concerns. This position may lead cross-functional teams and projects as needed.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:
- Perform statistical analysis, identify trends, and implement changes related to defects in internal manufacturing, returned goods and customer complaints.
- Investigate and resolve customer incidents.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure design requirements are manufacturable and meet product quality and reliability objectives.
- Develop DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans, quality plans, and perform risk analysis in conjunction with other product development team members.
- Develop and implement quality procedures and methods for inspection and testing.
- Participate in internal quality audits.
- Coordinate with operations personnel to identify and implement corrective actions that eliminate internal process nonconformances.
- Develop inspection procedures for manufactured and purchased parts and provide training to personnel as appropriate.
- Demonstrate strong collaboration skills and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Completes other assignments as requested.
What Do You Need?
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science.
- If a Bachelor’s degree is held, a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality or Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- If a Master’s degree is held, a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Quality or Manufacturing Engineer in a manufacturing environment
Desired
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related science is desired.
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Six Sigma Green or Black belt.
Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 or ISO 13485.
- Fundamental understanding of statistics theory, and practical experience in its application.
- Statistical analysis: SPC, Process Capability, Gage R&R, DOE, ANOVA, Hypotheses Testing, etc.
- Knowledge of design and development risk management.
- Demonstrated experience trouble shooting complex problems.
- Problem solving methodology/quality tools: 8D, A3, 5 Why’s, Is/Is Not, Ishikawa Diagrams.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Visio; and familiarity with SAP or a similar ERP system.

Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $92,000 - $100,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
