Regional Sales Manager II (Critical Environments) at TSI

TSI is a global leader in control and monitoring of critical environments.  The company is currently searching for a Regional Sales Manager to lead healthcare and laboratory sales in North America. 


TSI’s Critical Environments products are used to monitor and control room pressure, temperature and humidity in healthcare and laboratory settings.  Typical healthcare applications include airborne infection isolation rooms, operating rooms, and compounding pharmacies.  Laboratory applications are based on VAV fume hood control and include a complete solution for control of laboratory space. 


TSI takes these products to market through a network of channel partners who are primarily heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) independent representative firms that also sell complimentary products from other manufacturers.

What Will You Do?

  • Maintain long-term relationships with channel partners, strategic end users, industry leaders, and other strategic alliances.
  • Create and execute territory sales plan consistent with business unit's current sales and marketing initiatives.  Well-developed plans include overall plan for territory as well as individual plans for channel partner organizations.
  • In coordination with channel partners follow up TSI generated leads, leads that you generate through your own contacts and work with channel to develop leads using their own internal programs.
  • Provide monthly sales forecast and commentary on current market conditions.  Keep sales funnel and key opportunities updated in Salesforce and monthly forecasts.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled updates with Sales Manager to review activities and plans.
  • Provide feedback to marketing team including, new applications, product success stories.  Provide relevant competitive information regarding competitor's products, pricing and sales and marketing activities.
  • Stay current on TSI product and application knowledge.
  • Stay current on industry trends, upcoming changes in regulation and other external influences that can advance TSI sales.
  • Collaborate with team members and actively participate in and lead team discussions, meetings and events as appropriate.  When appropriate collaborate with TSI sales people from other groups especially when shared territory and organizations are involved.
  • Seek out appropriate local trade shows and conferences within the territory to attend and promote TSI.  Attend national trades shows and conferences where TSI is participating to promote TSI and take advantage of networking opportunities.
  • Create and deliver engaging presentations in person and virtually to potential customers and additional stakeholders such as consultants and design teams.
  • Use Salesforce to manage sales process, provide quotations and track sales progress against monthly and annual targets.


Job Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in applicable engineering field, or equivalent industry experience with HVAC systems and controls in combination with education
  • Minimum of 4 years of channel management experience (proven track-record) including defining, planning, evaluating and executing sales plans with channel partners/distributors; or minimum of 4 years of experience selling direct to end users
  • Experience developing effective sales strategies


  • MBA Degree
  • Experience calling on a customer base which includes mechanical consulting engineers, contractors, hospitals and universities 
  • Direct experience working in all phases of the mechanical system design, construction and operational process for healthcare and laboratory facilities.
