Sales Manager at TSI

A highly motivated, achievement oriented, energetic, curious, enthusiastic, well-organized and results driven individual who is also willing to dive into the niche technology and applications of the Air Quality monitoring and management solutions is needed for the role of the Sales Manager.  In this role as an individual contributor, the Sales Manager will be working with TSI’s software, engineering and marketing teams. These collaborations will help identify and provide accurate measurement solutions of pollutants to ensure certain health and safety levels and standards are met.  Join a dynamic and motivated team in the fast-pace growing Air Quality Monitoring market.

 

What Will You Do?

  • Identify, develop and close new sales opportunities

    • Develop new customer relationships through consultative type of selling to the end users, via an effective discovery of their needs, and the utilization of product demonstrations to build uncommon value

    • Source new sales opportunities through inbound leads, strategic outbound cold calls, emails and referrals and follow up on a timely fashion to maintain an active open opportunity pipeline

  • Leverage existing customer relationships through follow up, introduction of new products/solutions and training efforts resulting in increased business and number of referrals

  • Proactively research, ask, listen and clarify data in order to gain insight regarding the fast-pace growing Air Quality Monitoring sensors’ market

  • Attend and actively participate (as a speaker/presenter) in appropriate conferences and tradeshows as the TSI brand ambassador and give company overview or technical/product presentations at various organizations or technical committees

  • Work collaboratively with TSI’s Marketing team on market and business development:

    • Customer Segmentation

    • Voice of Customer (VOC) activities to uncover and validate new requirements and features of our products/solutions

    • Feedback related to new applications, win/loss analysis and competitive intelligence related to competitive products/pricing/sales and marketing activities

    • Identify and Develop Channel (distribution, OEMs, partnerships)  

  • Provide monthly forecast and commentary, actively document sales activity and opportunity pipeline in Salesforce system and use such tools for analysis, administrative responsibilities, expense management, and territory planning

  • Complete other assignments and special projects as requested

  • Although the role is predominantly in the Americas, the individual will be helping other TSI sales teams (i.e. in Europe, Asia Pacific, etc.) on similar type of opportunities.

 

What Do You Need?

Education

  • REQUIRED

    • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business or equivalent industry experience

  • PREFERRED

    • MBA or advanced technical degree (MSc)

 

Experience

  • REQUIRED

    • Minimum of +5 years of direct technical sales experience 

    • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding individual sales targets

    • Proficiency in customer management software (SAP CRM or Salesforce)

    • Formal sales training in complex selling environments (i.e. Miller Heiman Strategic and Conceptual Selling, Challenger or similar)  

    • Experience in Building Science, Ventilation, Filtration, HVAC and sensor systems solutions

  • PREFERRED

    • Robust understanding of selling capital equipment to industrial, academic and governmental markets and ability to advise on the nuances related to the funding and purchasing processes

    • Experience in selling SaaS (Software as a Service) solutions 

    • Familiarity and previous participation in associations or technical committees related to Indoor/Outdoor Air Quality Monitoring can be highly valued

*Travels ~50% to meet with customers, attend conferences, trade shows etc.                                                                                                                 

*Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance required

*This person will work from a home-based office
