Sr. Global Product Manager at TSI
The Senior Global Product Manager position is responsible for managing product strategy, roadmaps, and go-to-market execution for a leading TSI product line in the Occupational Health & Safety market, including hardware, software, and services. This role is an integral part of the annual TSI strategic planning process, in identifying key business issues and planning key initiatives. This position manages the product line P&L to meet annually established financial and strategic objectives, set by the Business Director and Senior Leadership. 

The Senior Global Product Manager is responsible for identifying business opportunities, conducting Voice of Customer (VOC), developing value propositions, and associated business and technical product requirements. This role leads new product development (NPD) efforts, launches products, and is responsible for NPD metrics, collaborating with Engineering and other functions to drive timely delivery to the market.

This position will also lead development of Go-To-Market plans for the assigned product line, which is a cornerstone product line in TSI’s portfolio. Collaboration with the Sales and Marketing Communications teams is key to planning product launches, campaigns, targeting, messaging, training, and promotional activities. 

What Will You Do?

In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will:

  • Define, implement, and maintain the overall product marketing strategy for assigned product lines (product, price, promotion, and channel), and execute planned initiatives designed to optimize growth and profitability of TSI’s OH&S products.
  • Analyze market drivers, technology developments, intellectual property landscape, regulatory drivers, and competitor posturing of assigned product line segments. Recommend new product development strategy and recommend project priorities based on findings.
  • Lead cross-functional innovation teams to analyze markets and develop new product and service strategies.  Encourage free thinking and collaboration amongst the team, focused on the business objective provided. 
  • Develop business cases for identified opportunities, including revenue potential, market risks and uncertainties, and collaborate with Engineering and Sales to develop ROI estimates for recommended product/service proposals.
  • Elevate the TSI team skillsets by bringing forward new methods of VOC, concept formation, and opportunity identification.
  • Evaluate adjacent and new market segments for assigned value stream(s).  Identify potential partners and M&A candidates to fill identified gaps. Identify and propose market-based solutions offering growth potential.
  • Work closely with technical Product Development teams, providing customer needs (critical customer requirements) input. Along with Program Manager and Systems Engineer, provide leadership to the Product Development team and collaborate on cost/benefit analysis and solution feature set. 
  • Develop training plans to convey product value propositions, best practices, and product operation to the Sales team, Channel Partners and End Users, and collaborate with the Product Specialist team to deliver the appropriate training content.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communications and Finance on product launch plans and pricing models. Build strong cross functional relationships throughout the global organization to maximize influence without direct authority. 
  • Collaborate with Marketing Communication and Product Marketing Specialist team members on the development of multi-media marketing programs to support lead generation and advance prospects to sales.  Contribute to training of Sales, including direct sales and channel partners.
  • Collect, analyze and share key data for making market-based product decisions, including win/lose sales analysis, pricing, product enhancement requests, market research data, customer complaints and satisfaction ratings, novel end user applications, unmet customer needs, and pertinent technology developments.
  • Provide demand forecasts and market intelligence to Operations to optimize balance between customer service levels, working capital, and capacity utilization.

 

What Do You Need?
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering/Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive product management experience, exhibiting increased levels of responsibility in scope

Desired

  • MBA
  • International B2B marketing or product management experience
  • Experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene or Environmental Monitoring
  • SaaS solution selling or marketing experience
  • P&L Management experience
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or technical instrumentation
  • Experience leading change from legacy stand-alone product to a multi-faceted product line  

 

* Must be willing to travel globally, as needed, to support activities such as VOC efforts, training, new product launches, conferences, and visiting customers (10-25%).

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $140,000 - $155,000 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities may be available and awarded at the discretion of the Company.
