Technician I at TSI
This is the entry level Manufacturing Technician. Under general supervision, this position will be working in a manufacturing environment trouble shooting and repairing mechanical and electronic assemblies used in a variety of TSI equipment to the component level. This position is responsible for interfacing with Manufacturing Assembly and Engineering personnel to assist them in trouble shooting and repairing TSI equipment. Our goal for shipping TSI equipment is 100% correct (equipment meets performance specifications) and 100% on-time. This position will be responsible for TSI new equipment, check out and final test.
What Will You Do?
In order to grow and build a successful career with TSI, you will be responsible for:
- Trouble shoot and repair mechanical and electrical assemblies used in TSI equipment to the component level.
- Continually improve the setup, calibration and test procedures used on the new equipment orders.
- Provide training when necessary to the new build assemblers in your area.
- Communicate with engineering on product performance and functionality issues.
- Work closely with all personnel within the department.
- Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
What Do You Need?
Required
- 2-year Electronic technical certificate
- Experience trouble shooting and repairing mechanical and electrical devices to the component level.
- Experience in testing, diagnostics, trouble shooting and repair of PCA circuit boards and complex instrumentation.
Desired
- 2-year Electronic Technology AA degree
- General knowledge of electronic test equipment i.e. Oscilloscope, VOM and other test equipment.
- Knowledge of electronic components and their usage in electronic circuits.
