Marketing Communication Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Under general direction and coaching, the Marketing Communication Specialist will plan, create and implement marketing communications projects and activities related to the sales and promotion of company products in a consistent, efficient and cost effective manner.  This position will take an active role in the budgeting, planning, scheduling, and tactical execution of marketing campaigns.  May be require travel to tradeshows or other company events.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Works in conjunction with product managers and sales to plan, develop, coordinate, and monitor marketing campaigns for assigned value streams and product launches within the APAC region.
  2. Works with product marketing to develop positioning, messaging and write copy for marketing materials, including emails, newsletters, data sheets, brochures, application notes, translations etc. 
  3. Evaluate existing advertisements, create new ads as needed, identify the most effective advertising opportunities and appropriately places ads to effectively promote TSI’s products and messaging.
  4. Supporting and coordinate TSI and Channel Partner events and exhibitions including booth design, layout, graphics, supporting materials, and event execution as needed.
  5. Manage demo inventory assigned to RAP region including scheduling, tracking, and shipping (including customs clearance and Carnet application) maximizing utilization of demo equipment.
  6. Create and manage regional website landing pages.
  7. Support production and translation of product and corporate collateral.
  8. Support lead process including entry into CRM, analysis of effectiveness and lead quality.
  9. Support of Channel Partner marketing initiatives including event coordination, advertisement, training, and translations.
  10. Must work well with others.
  11. Follow all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions to supervisor.
  12. Perform other tasks and special projects as requested.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related discipline OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

  • 0-5 years’ experience in corporate marketing communications 
  • Experience working with complex, high tech products

Knowledge of:

  • Basic marketing communications principals and best practices.
  • Word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of ERP system (SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, or similar).
  • Electronic communications media
